feastively fresh meal box recipe - japanese yakisoba vegetarian

Japanese Yakisoba (Veg)

Served with julienned veggies.

Soba noodles are traditionally served boiled because they have a subtle flavour of their own. This flavour comes from buckwheat. But it didn’t take long before Chinese cuisine influenced the Soba and a stir-fried version was created. Yaki refers to the use of direct heat to cook. Think Yaki-tori or Tako-yaki. The springy noodles play nicely with crunchy stir-fried veggies.
